Russian council head reportedly to visit China

Russian Federation Council Chair Valentina Matviyenko (pictured center) will visit China between July 9 and 12, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Sunday.

According to the report, Matviyenko was extended an invitation by Chinese Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Chairman Zhao Leji.

Matviyenko is supposed to lead a delegation that will attend the 8th meeting of the China-Russia committee for parliamentary cooperation.
