The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its troops had taken control of Rivnopil, a village in Ukraine's Donetsk region.
The Vostok group led the operation, strengthening the Russian military presence in the eastern part of Ukraine amid ongoing conflict.
The ministry also said today that the "West" division of the army improved its tactical position in the settlements of Novoplatonivka, Zahryzove, in the Kharkiv region.
