Russian naval attacks on Odessa possible - Ukraine

Mayor of the Ukrainian city of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov stated on Friday that there is a possibility that Russia is planning to surround the city and might strike through the sea.

"Russian landing ships could surround us from the sea," said the mayor. Trukhanov stressed that everyone is ready to defend the city.

Odessa is Ukraine's third-largest city and boasts the country's largest commercial seaport. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made claims that Russia was planning to bomb the city.
