Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud (pictured) noted on Saturday while appearing at the Munich Security Conference that contact with Russia should be maintained.
"The GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] adheres to a unified position on the conflict in Ukraine, we vote in unison when it comes to a UN General Assembly resolution condemning the invasion ... However, we continue to have an open dialogue with Russia, because all of us in the GCC believe that it is necessary to keep the channels of communication open," he explained.
The official said that the Gulf countries will "contribute to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine."
