South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol is finalizing the process of selecting the members of his administration, announcing his picks for ambassadors to Japan, Russia, China and the United Nations on Tuesday.

He selected professor at Seoul National University, Chung Jae-ho, as envoy to China, foreign policy expert, Yun Duk-min, as ambassador to Japan, while former diplomats, Chang Ho-jin and Hwang Joon-kook, were, respectively, picked as ambassadors to Russia and the UN.

Yoon, the nation's first conservative president in five years, was sworn into office in May and has since promised to reform the country's power structure, going as far as to move the presidential office from the Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, to the defense ministry compound.
