South Korea's Army and Marine Corps conducted live-fire artillery drills near the country's border with North Korea on Wednesday, Yonhap reported.
The drills were aimed at enhancing the joint operability of the Army and Marine Corps against any possible North Korean threat. The artillery exercise was attended by 430 members of the Army and the 2nd Marine Division.
Thirty units of K9 and K55A1 self-propelled howitzers were utilized 85 kilometers northeast of Seoul, with counter-battery radars and surveillance drones also taking part.
