South Korea is planning to send a part of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to Europe after Russia decided to cut off supplies to some countries, Yonhap reported citing officials.
According to one of the sources, Seoul likely received the request for such a move from the United States or Europe. Another Industry Ministry source noted that South Korea decided to agree as it has "some room" for such support in springtime.
Earlier this week, Russia's Gazprom announced it halted gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland over their refusal to pay for gas in rubles.
