South Korea's Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok (pictured) and Japan's Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki expressed their concerns over the depreciation of their currencies against the United States dollar, Yonhap reported on Wednesday, citing South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The two officials stated that they "can take appropriate steps" to stabilize the foreign exchange (FX) market during their meeting in Washington.
The Japanese yen hit yet another record low in over three decades against the US dollar on Tuesday.
