Slack, owned by Salesforce, will cut 10% of its workforce, Insider reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The news comes hours after Salesforce announced will be laying off more than 7,000 employees and weeks after the exit of Slack's founder and CEO, Stewart Butterfield.

Insider was unable to confirm whether all affected employees have been notified yet, but at least some have, according to one of the sources.
