Samsung to buyback $7.2 billion to boost shares

Samsung Electronics announced on Friday that it will repurchase 10 trillion won ($7.2 billion) worth of shares over the next year to enhance shareholder value.

The decision was revealed after market hours and provoked a 7.2% surge in Samsung's stock, its most significant daily jump since March 2020.
