Samsung Electronics is set to launch energy-efficient air conditioners (AC) in North America, utilizing artificial intelligence to reduce power consumption by up to 30%, Nikkei reported Wednesday.
According to the media, Samsung will introduce the technology to the North American market through a joint venture already announced almost two months ago with Lennox. At that moment, Samsung said it would own 50.1% of the joint venture, while Lennox would own the other 49.9%.
"Our collaboration, focused on strong product offerings and customer networks in the growing ductless segment, will bring new solutions to the market. We look forward to launching innovative technologies together in the future," President and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America, KS Choi said then.
