House prices in the United States increased by 3.8% in January on a yearly basis, according to a report by S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller on Tuesday. The figure was down from a growth of 5.6% reported in December.
The 10-city composite and the 20-city composite both posted a 2.5% year-over-year gain. On a monthly basis, the unadjusted US National Home Price NSA Index declined by 0.5%, the 10-city composite decreased by 0.5% and the 20-city composite fell by 0.6%.
The highest yearly price rises were recorded in Miami at 13.8%, Tampa at 10.5% and Atlanta at 8.4%.
