Saudi Arabia grants 3 licenses for mining exploration

Three licenses for mining exploration on deposits of copper, lead, silver and zinc were granted by the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the state press agency announced on Wednesday.

The companies that will have permission to search for the mineral resources on Bir Ammq, Jabal Al-Sahabiya, and Umm Hadid sites, are the alliance built by Ajlan & Bros. Company and Norinco Company, the partnership between Royal Roads Company and Meem Sin B Holding Company and the consortium by Smo and Koya Silver Company.

The total area to be explored in the mining prospecting sites amounts to about 716 square kilometers.
