Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman accused Russia of withdrawing from OPEC+ deal, saying it is targeting low oil prices in order to hurt shale producers.
Prince Abdulaziz stated that the Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak "was the first to declare to the media that all the participating countries are absolved of their commitments starting from the first of April, leading to the decision that the countries have taken to raise their production to offset the lower prices and compensate for their loss of returns."
United States President Donald Trump said earlier he expects the two countries will "work it out over the next few days" after speaking both with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
