German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated on Wednesday that the Nord Stream 1 turbine works and can be used at any time, thus blaming Russia for the delay in gas supply.

"The non-fulfillment of the gas supply contracts has no technical reasons whatsoever," Scholz said during a visit to Siemens Energy site, which was accused by Russian Gazprom of only repairing 25% of the damaged parts last week.

The turbine was previously shipped to Canada due to maintenance issues but has since been delivered to Germany.
