German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed his confidence on Wednesday that United States President Joe Biden would secure re-election in 2024, attributing this optimism to Biden's commitment to fostering social cohesion.

"I really do believe that President Biden will be successful in his bid for re-election, because he is not just an experienced politician, but also someone who really works for social cohesion in his own country," Scholz told German ARD broadcaster in an interview.

The presidential election in the United States is scheduled to take place in November next year, with Biden possibly facing former President Donald Trump once again.
