Schumer blasts Trump's tariff policies

United States Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer on Friday criticized President Donald Trump's tariff policies, claiming that Democrats are "united" in opposing them.

"Why's he doing this? To give tax breaks to his billionaire friends, they are all in that billionaire bubble. They just talk to themselves, and they don’t know how badly they're hurting average American families," Schumer told CNN.

Senate minority leader further warned that Trump's duties and the global trade war they triggered will result in higher costs for US citizens. "It's crazy, it's poorly thought-out, but most of all, it's a disaster," he concluded.
