Schumer: US not looking for conflict with China

The United States is not seeking to decouple from China or engage in conflict with it, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said during a congressional visit to the country.

"This visit to China aims to promote mutual understanding through candid, in-depth, constructive, and fruitful dialogues and exchanges. It seeks to address differences and concerns, foster mutually beneficial cooperation, and ensure that the development of US-China relations benefits both countries and the world," Schumer said, according to the Global Times.
