The USS Carl Vinson, a United States aircraft carrier, has reached the Middle East and is ready to join the Harry S. Truman strike group and aid the US in its airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.

The carrier is armed with F-35 stealth warplanes. A video of aircraft taking off from both ships was posted to X.

Last week, the Pentagon announced that the USS Carl Vinson would be joining the USS Harry S. Truman in order to "continue promoting regional stability, deter aggression, and protect the free flow of commerce in the region."
