Six United States Secret Service agents have been suspended for their roles in security failures tied to the July 2024 attempted assassination of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, ABC News reported, citing a source familiar with the agency's decision.
The suspensions, ranging from 10 to 42 days, follow an internal review and come just days before the first anniversary of the attack. According to the media outlet, the agents held both supervisory and field positions.
During the rally, one audience member was killed and Trump was injured.
