The United States Senate Banking Committee announced on Tuesday it will hear testimonies from Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on November 30.
The two will talk about the implementation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, a stimulus bill worth $2.2 trillion introduced in March 2020 as a response to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yellen recently blamed the rise in inflation on the contagion and noted that such a trend is something the country's institutions need to be concerned with.
