Senate confirms Elbridge Colby for Pentagon policy chief

The Senate confirmed Tuesday with a 54-45 vote US President Donald Trump's nominee for Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby.

Trump earlier announced on Truth Social that he had selected Elbridge Colby, who "served with distinction in the Pentagon in my First Term," to fill the role of undersecretary of defense for policy.
