A high-ranking Hamas official narrowly escaped an Israeli assassination attempt, AP reported on Saturday, citing sources.
The attack occurred in Jadra, approximately 40 kilometers south of the border, marking the second-farthest deadly strike from the frontier in the ongoing four-month conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The targeted individual, identified as Hamas recruitment officer Bassel Saleh, survived the initial drone strike on his car. Subsequently, a second Israeli drone struck the same location, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
