South Korea and the United States agreed to fully resume postponed diplomatic and security events, following recent political turmoil in Seoul, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun and US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met in Washington on Monday to discuss the situation after South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's failed martial law declaration and subsequent impeachment.

In the meeting, the officials emphasized the importance of maintaining strong coordination amid concerns over North Korea's growing nuclear threats. The report noted that the two agreed to reschedule key events, including a visit by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to South Korea, delayed due to the crisis.
