British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said the latest air strikes carried out by the United Kingdom and the United States against Houthi targets in Yemen are "not an escalation" of the Middle East crisis. "We have already successfully targeted launchers and storage sites involved in Houthi attacks, and I am confident that our latest strikes have further degraded the Houthis' capabilities," he said.
"We acted alongside our US allies, with the support of many international partners, in self-defense and in accordance with international law," Shapps added. The attack hit 36 targets in 13 locations, with no information about casualties so far.
