Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal insisted on Thursday, after a "rich" meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels, that his country is ready to work to "move forward and fulfill all obligations" in the process of becoming a member of the European Union.
"Ukraine and the EU are deepening their ties in all areas. We discussed our path to EU membership, the importance of opening negotiation clusters as soon as possible, and further integration into the EU Single Market," Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.
Previously, Shmyhal announced that the European Union granted Ukraine an assistance worth €1 billion through its Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) Loan Initiative.
