Silver Lake Technology Management LLC will invest $400 million in land and power infrastructure for artificial intelligence data centers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday. The project includes investments by Commonwealth Asset Management executives Adam Fisher and Peter Rumbold.
Silver Lake said it intends to harness 6 gigawatts of power production potential in North America and is already working on sites in Texas and Georgia. According to the report, the joint venture plans to reach its goal by "leveraging both relationships with utility providers and in some instances by building their own power generation."
