Jannik Sinner cruised past Ben Shelton on Friday to advance to the Australian Open final. The defending champion will play against Alexander Zverev on Sunday.

Sinner struggled somewhat against Shelton in the first set, which he won 7-6 on a 7-2 tiebreak. However, the following two sets came much more easily as he outclassed the American player 6-2 and 6-2. Following the match, Sinner commented on the upcoming final, stating that "anything can happen" and that "there’ll be a lot of tension" but praising Zverev as an "incredible" player.
