Sirens blare across Ukraine amid Russian air raid

Air raid alarms were declared throughout Ukraine in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, with powerful explosions reported in Kiev and Kharkov.

Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said emergency services have been activated in several city districts to deal with the developing situation. Suspilne reported that a fire broke out in a five-story building in the capital's Buckansky district, while damage was also reported in Vyshgorodsky and Brovarsky districts. Twelwe people have been injured in the overnight strikes in Kiev, according to Klitscko.

Concurrently, Kharkov Mayor Ihor Terehov said the city came under a missile attack, warning residents to take shelter.
