Slovakian President Zuzana Caputova announced on Friday that Slovakia will supply Ukraine with 16 howitzers "in the very near future" following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Bratislava. She added that Slovakia and Ukraine will jointly develop a new type of howitzers and start cooperation on ammunition manufacturing.
Caputova also said Slovakian companies will be involved in de-mining Ukrainian territory. She assured Zelensky that Slovakia sees Ukraine "as a prospective member of the European Union" and that its perspective is in NATO.
