Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (pictured) said on Thursday that his country will not "agree in any way" to a two-state solution, stressing Palestinians should not be rewarded for attacking Israel on October 7.
"We won’t agree in any way to this plan which actually says that the Palestinians deserve a reward for the terrible massacre they did to us: a Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem," Smotrich posted on X and added a Palestinian state would represent an "existential threat" for Israel.
The comments come after a report by the Washington Post claimed that the United States and several Arab countries are preparing to present a detailed Israel-Palestine peace plan that involves a precise timeline for a future Palestinian state.
