Airports in Moscow have been forced to delay or cancel over 50 flights due to snowfall, RIA Novosti reported on Sunday. The Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports have so far seen 51 flights delayed and six canceled.
20% of Moscow's normal monthly rainfall fell on the city in less than a day on Saturday, according to the Russian weather bureau. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the Russian capital should expect snow, sleet, freezing rain and ice, raising its weather alert to "yellow."
