Sony's Q3 sales up by 18% to ¥4.4 trillion

Sony Group Corporation announced on Thursday that its total sales revenue in the third quarter of its fiscal year 2024 saw an annual rise of 18% to hit ¥4.4 trillion (about $28.6 billion).

The company's income before taxes increased by 8% compared to the same trimester of the previous year to ¥494.1 billion. The operating income grew by 1% year-on-year to ¥469.3 billion.

The net income went up by 3% on an annual basis to ¥373.7 billion, and diluted earnings per share (EPS) from ¥58.96 to ¥61.82.
