Sony Group Corporation revealed on Thursday that its operating income landed at ¥263 billion during the second quarter of fiscal 2023, dropping by 29% on an annual basis.
During the reported quarter, the company saw ¥2.7 trillion (~$17.9 billion) in sales, marking an annual rise of 8%. However, the company's income before taxes was down by 31% to ¥258 billion compared to the corresponding quarter a year before.
The net income attributable to stockholders per share of common stock (diluted) stood at ¥161.74 or $1.07. Meanwhile, the company has added 5 million active PlayStation users since last year, landing at 107 million.
