South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) responded on Sunday to North Korea's series of missile launches by stating it is "an act of significant provocation" that undermines peace both on the Korean Peninsula and globally.
"Our military will maintain a firm readiness posture while tracking and monitoring related movements in close cooperation with the United States in preparation against additional provocations," Yonhap reported the JCS as saying. North Korea claimed on Saturday that the missile tests are defensive in nature and not meant to endanger peace.
