Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Wagner, along with US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) astronaut Donald Pettit have returned to Earth following a 220-day mission to the International Space Station (ISS) which started on September 11, 2024.
They made a parachute-assisted landing with the Soyuz MS-26 descent module, landing on the steppe of Kazakhstan, southeast of the town of Dzhezkazgan. The crew orbited Earth 3,520 times and completed a 93.3 million-mile journey.
The crew members will fly by helicopter to the recovery staging city of Karaganda in Kazakhstan.
