Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet division, posted a full-year 2022 revenue of $1.4 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday citing a document it has seen. The figure grew significantly from $222 million registered in the same timeframe a year prior.
Although the growth in revenue is notable, it still fell short of SpaceX's previous expectations. Back in 2015, according to another document acquired by the WSJ, SpaceX was predicting that in 2022, the division would generate close to $12 billion in revenue and $7 billion in operating profit.
Previously, the WSJ revealed that SpaceX's revenue in the first quarter of its fiscal 2023 amounted to $1.5 billion, while profit stood at $55 million.
