The unemployment rate in Spain came in at 10.61% in the fourth quarter of 2024, declining from 11.80% observed in the same period a year prior and from 11.21% registered in the third quarter of 2024, according to the latest workforce survey (EPA) released on Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute.
The new data revealed that the total number of people unemployed stood at 2,595,500 in the reported period, dropping 9.28% year-over-year and 5.76% quarter-on-quarter.
Meanwhile, the total number of workers landed at 21,857,900 in the fourth quarter, climbing 2.19% on a yearly basis.
