Producer prices in Spain jumped by 6.6% in January compared to the same month a year prior, the country's National Statistics Institute (INE) shared in its report on Tuesday. The figure marks a significant increase from an annual rate of 2.6% registered in January.
Energy was the main contributor to the increase in the overall index, with an annual jump of 22.2%. However, the general producer price index without energy was unchanged compared to February 2024.
On a monthly basis, producer prices climbed by 1.2% in February.
