Stellantis chair Elkann named to Meta's board

Meta Platforms Inc. announced on Monday it named Stellantis NV Chairman and Exor NV Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Elkann, UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) Holdings LLC head Dana White, and technology investor Charlie Songhurst to its Board of Directors.

"Dana, John and Charlie will add a depth of expertise and perspective that will help us tackle the massive opportunities ahead with AI [artificial intelligence], wearables and the future of human connection," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in the company's statement.

The addition increased the number of members on Meta's Board of Directors to 11.
