Montana Governor Steve Bullock announced on Monday that he terminated his campaign for the United States presidential election scheduled for November 2020. According to campaign spokeswoman Galia Slayen, the now-former Democratic presidential candidate won't run for the US Senate either despite pressure from his party.
"It has become clear that at this moment, I won’t be able to break through to the top tier of this still-crowded field of candidates," Bullock said in a statement.
Bullock has been serving as governor of Montana since 2013. He announced his candidacy on May 14.
