NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Thursday that Ukraine still has a chance to defeat Russia as it continues to get support from the alliance.
"In recent months, NATO allies have not provided the support we have promised," Stoltenberg stated during a visit to Germany. "But it is not too late for Ukraine to prevail, because more support is on the way," he noted, praising the United States, as well as other allies such as the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands, for agreeing to provide Kiev with further assistance. "It is now our responsibility to turn these commitments into real deliveries of weapons and ammunition, and to do so quickly," he stressed.
The comments come after American media reported Washington is not fully convinced Ukraine can beat Russia on the battlefield despite getting more support from the West, including $61 billion in aid from the US.
