NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday that there is a "vital and urgent need" for the United States to decide on its support for Ukraine. "It is for the US to deliver what they have promised," he said about the $60 billion in aid to Ukraine, which has stalled in the House of Representatives. "Every week we wait means there will be more people killed on the frontlines in Ukraine," he warned.
Stoltenberg insisted NATO is militarily stronger than Russia but admitted there are "some serious gaps," including maintenance and a steady supply of ammunition. He repeated that allies are focusing on ramping up production and increasing defense spending.
