Subway CEO to step down at end of 2024

Subway IP LLC announced on Tuesday that its Global CEO John Chidsey will step down at the end of the year. Chidsey took the position in 2019 as the first Subway CEO from outside the company's founding DeLuca family.

Subway President of Europe, Middle East and Africa Carrie Walsh will assume the role of interim CEO while the fast food chain looks for a permanent successor. Chidsey will take on a consulting role during the transition, "with a particular focus on helping to guide the company's international growth strategy and master franchisee relationships."
