The Sudanese army said on Friday that it has taken full control of the country's capital city of Khartoum, one week after retaking the presidential palace from paramilitary forces, AFP reported.
"Our forces today have successfully and forcibly cleansed the last pockets of the remnants of the Daglo terrorist militia in Khartoum locality," Army Spokesman Nabil Abdullah said, referring to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The two sides have been at war since 2023.
