Suez Canal authority monitoring Red Sea tensions

Egypt's Suez Canal Authority Chairman and Managing Director Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie claimed on Sunday the situation in the Red Sea is being closely monitored after the latest attacks on commercial vessels carried out by Yemen's Houthi.

However, the chairmen said that the maritime transport in the Suez Canal is normal.

Previously, several shipping companies announced that they decided to halt transit through the Red Sea.
