Suga: Japan oposes heightening tensions in S. China Sea

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said on Monday that his country "opposes any steps to heighten tension in South China Sea."

Suga also added that all countries involved in the South China Sea should make efforts towards a peaceful resolution of disputes.

Japanese PM asserted earlier that the country's economy is still in a "severe state" due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
