United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated on Monday that he sees a growing concern at the G7 and NATO summits about the rising threat that China represents.

Nevertheless, the national security advisor explained that Chinese President Xi Jinping and his North American counterpart Joe Biden expect to engage over the next few weeks. On the military operation in Ukraine, Sullivan confirmed the US is at the moment in the process of concluding a weapons package that includes long-range air defense and ammunition.

He further talked about the cap on Russian oil prices and that some technical work is needed to develop it. His remarks come amid the recent declaration of world leaders in the context of the G7 summit about Russia and its military operation in Ukraine.
