Sunak urges Commons to show unity on Ukraine

Leader of the British Opposition Rishi Sunak called on Wednesday on the House of Commons to be united on the matter of providing Ukraine with the aid necessary to repel Russia's military operation and offered Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer his support on the topic.

During Starmer's first Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs), Sunak also urged Starmer's government to consider introducing more severe sanctions against Russia, with the latter responding that that option is already being discussed.

Furthermore, Starmer added that he already urged the United Kingdom's allies from NATO, such as Germany, to increase the aid they are sending to Ukraine during the group's recent summit, stressing that "that was well received."
