United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak (pictured) called on the British companies on Sunday not to invest in Russia over the Ukraine situation.

"I am urging firms to think very carefully about their investments in Russia and how they may aid the Putin regime. I also want to make it clear that there is no case for new investment in Russia," Sunak tweeted.

Earlier this week, Sunak estimated that the situation in Europe's east has created "significant economic uncertainty" for London.
